On Friday, April 21st from 5 - 7:30 pm prospective and current OCASA families are invited to discover science through hands-on learning, live entertainment and giveaways. Science Night is a beloved PTSA-sponsored event that provides enrichment for families. This year's event features:
- Live Entertainment: Families will compete in an interactive game show about water conservation
- Activity Stations: 15+ interactive stations exploring scientific concepts including robot battles, Lego car racing, experiments, mobile observatory, composting and more!
- Food: Delicious food trucks offering burgers, sandwiches, and gourmet cotton candy for purchase, as well as some snacks available for free
Science is the S in STEAM — the acronym used when talking about science, technology, engineering, art and math education. Family science activities are important because they provide opportunities to engage in hands-on, interactive learning experiences that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. These activities can also help to spark interest and curiosity in science, technology, engineering, and math, which can lead to future educational and career opportunities. Additionally, participating in science activities as a family can strengthen relationships, build connections, and create lasting memories.
The entire OCASA community is excited to experience science together at this fun-filled event. Thank you to our event donors, participants, and volunteers this year:
